COOL Centre (Burnley) is in the process of registration with OFSTED as an Independent School.

We offer a varied curriculum to cater for ‘Difficult to Place’ learners on an individual basis. We offer a unique combination of Personalised Curriculum and Vocational Education. With our small classroom grouping (maximum 6), combined with a high staff ratio we create an environment that is more conducive to learning than the students in our care have ever experienced before.

We are proud of the school's ethos of equipping our students with skills for life through a Social and Emotional Curriculum. They have direct access to a wide range of vocational experiences through COOL UK that are meaningful to their styles of learning.

Students arrive at our School with low self-esteem, a poor approach to learning and few aspirations for the future. COOL Centre School provides a nurturing environment that encourages and extends learning in order to allow every individual to realise their full potential. Not only do they make substantial progress in their achievements while they are with us, but they grow in confidence and self-worth and acquire the real life and independence skills they need to achieve in the future.

Our strengths lie not only in our ability to diversify but also in our ethos of working as a whole community. We develop strong relationships with parents/carers, referrers and outside agencies, all working towards one common goal.
